The hotel is in a great location with great transport link to anywhere in London with Kings Cross only a few minutes walk away. The staff we so welcoming and made us feel right at home as soon as we arrived, offering us complimentary tea or coffee upon arrival and throughout our stay. The friendly and attentive atmosphere was next to none, with recommendations of drinks in the bar and knowledge about the hotel and area history. The charisma and enthusiasm of the staff really made the stay special for us. The bed was comfy and spacious, with a bedside tablet to control the tv and read about the property, which was a great touch. The the lounge/ bar area had a relaxing feeling to it with amazing decor and chilled out music which was very much enjoyed.

Really clean. Clever storage. Tastefully decorated. Super close to walk to Kings Cross. Helpful staff who accommodated late check in and stored our luggage the last day. Free coffee and tea in the lounge, and fresh sparkling + still water on continuous supply. I was nervous about the bathroom after reading previous reviews but the shower doesn't flood the floor, if you're careful to shut the shower door fully. You just need to be comfortable with your partner as the bathroom is semi transparent as it's glass! And I was nervous about noise but we had a great room on the 1st floor that overlooked an internal courtyard, so it was quiet. Overall a quirky well designed petite room, which was good value compared to other 4 star hotels near Kings Cross.

Boutique hotel, opposite a park and basketball court, and a short walk to St Pancras and Kings Cross stations. Well serviced for public transport. A walk to a lot of interest spots, and great restaurants over on the Regents Canal and tow path. Terrific breakfast and 24 hour access to bar needs if required. Is affiliated with a couple of great restaurants in particular Magenta, which if you are here for a couple of nights is well worth a visit! Beds are comfortable, and bathrooms whilst small have a great shower and product is supplied. All the bits and pieces for a hotel room are included in quirky storage. Staff are mostly very responsive. They don't have blankets, only doonas, so if you like blankets you will have to provide your own!

My own fault as I did not check in advance but we needed a room that we could get to in a wheelchair. The one we were allocated was downstairs and no others were available (the property is Victorian so no room for a lift). The young lady on reception immediately contacted another hotel just across the square (part of the same group I think) and transferred our booking over to them where we had exactly what we needed. We felt really well looked after and this helped to very much reduce the stress of a 'wheelchair journey' which is always a challenge! Thank you for an excellent service.

Put simply, I had a wonderful stay at The Gyle, and all the team were very professional yet friendly at the same time. The room I was in was very comfortable and the hotel being so close to the station resulted in a very practical and enjoyable stay. They Also have a wonderful selection of Scotch, a totally unexpected added bonus!
